Chemical-free scale management
Puroxi Ultrasonic Descaler
External, non-invasive technology designed to help manage new and existing limescale in plumbing and water systems—without cutting the pipe or continuously adding treatment chemicals.
How it works
Encouraging Scale to Travel With the Water
Limescale commonly forms when temperature or pressure changes cause dissolved hardness minerals to crystallize and adhere to plumbing, heat exchangers, heating elements and other wetted surfaces.
The Puroxi Ultrasonic Descaler transmits a varying electrical field through the pipe and the water it carries. This encourages hardness minerals to form more stable suspended crystals that can travel with the flow instead of readily attaching to equipment surfaces. Existing deposits may gradually soften and erode as operating conditions permit.

Three system benefits
Scale, Biofouling and Filtration Support
Scale control
Helps reduce new hard-scale attachment and supports gradual removal of existing deposits.
Biofouling & filtration
Depending on water chemistry and system design, the applied field may support biofouling control, particle flocculation and filtration performance.
Efficiency protection
Cleaner heat-transfer and filtration surfaces may reduce cleaning, backwash, water and energy demand.

What the Puroxi Descaler Does—and Does Not Do
Designed to support
- Reduced attachment of new hard scale
- Gradual release of some existing deposits
- Cleaner heat-transfer and wetted surfaces
- Improved particle transport toward filtration, blowdown or drain points
- Reduced maintenance demand where the application is suitable
Important system realities
- It does not remove calcium or magnesium from the water
- Released material still needs a route out of the system
- Results depend on water chemistry, temperature, flow and system design
- Severe deposits may still require initial mechanical or chemical cleaning
- Installation location and direct ceramic-to-pipe contact matter
Applications
Where Descaler Technology May Be Used

Installation essentials
Complete Installation Before Applying Power
- Install as close as practical to the scale problem or upstream of protected equipment.
- Remove insulation and clean the pipe surface; ceramics must contact the pipe directly.
- Mount the frame, control box and fragile ceramic elements carefully.
- Confirm every required ceramic and cable is installed before connecting power.
Operating limits
- Input
- 90–240 VAC, 47–63 Hz
- Enclosure
- Aluminium alloy; IP66
- Temperature
- −20°C to 50°C
- Elevation
- <2,000 m
Safety: Do not install where explosive or flammable gas may be present. Protect outdoor systems from rain and direct sun.
Customer Testimonials and Field Experiences
What Customers Have Observed
“Two months after installation, scale began to loosen. After approximately six months, the heating pipes were reported clean enough that the operating temperature had to be reduced.”
Documented dairy-barn boiler field experience. Individual results depend on water chemistry, system design and operating conditions.
“A customer reported an increase of approximately 4–5 bushels per acre in a canola pivot application where the technology was installed.”
Alberta agricultural field report; presented as customer experience, not a guaranteed performance result.
